Nurse Entrepreneur’s Exchange are interviews covering how nurses become nurse entrepreneurs and how nurses succeed in business. The name is attributed to the grassroots newsletter that evolved into the founding of the NNBA in 1985. The NNBA was and continues as the only professional nursing organization that is dedicated to the independent practice of nursing through entrepreneurial models.

NNBA member interviews are moving accounts of dreams, opportunities, challenges, and triumphs. In a spirit of trust and generosity nurse entrepreneurs shared their experiences with me during these interviews. Nurses will find confidence, motivation, and inspiration in their stories of transforming their careers through entrepreneurship.

Jenn Maul, MSN, RN, NC-BC

Jenn Maul is an RN and a Board-Certified Nurse Coach with more than 22 years of experience in health care, the majority as a Nurse Educator. After a severe bout of burnout she became a nurse coach and developed Maul Wellness Company to help nurses and healthcare organizations shift from merely surviving to thriving by supporting with coaching and integrating mindfulness and self-care practices.

In addition to her coaching practice and nurse focused podcast called Nurse Connect, Jenn also works part-time in the hospital setting as an Nurse Educator. She has been integrating her coaching knowledge and passion for staff wellness and has developed a wellness program, a Zen Den, and is mentoring/coaching new staff to increase retention & satisfaction.

She has recently started working with other nurse coaches who are interested in integrating coaching and creating wellness programs into their own hospitals and has a wonderful Facebook Group called Hospital-Based Nurse Coaching and Wellness Programs which offers a central place for nurses interested in this work to connect with and learn from other like-minded nurses.
