Nurse Entrepreneur’s Exchange are interviews covering how nurses become nurse entrepreneurs and how nurses succeed in business. The name is attributed to the grassroots newsletter that evolved into the founding of the NNBA in 1985. The NNBA was and continues as the only professional nursing organization that is dedicated to the independent practice of nursing through entrepreneurial models.

NNBA member interviews are moving accounts of dreams, opportunities, challenges, and triumphs. In a spirit of trust and generosity nurse entrepreneurs shared their experiences with me during these interviews. Nurses will find confidence, motivation, and inspiration in their stories of transforming their careers through entrepreneurship.

Keith Carlson has been a nurse since 1996. As a holistic career coach, nurse podcaster, writer, blogger, and well-known motivational speaker, Keith empowers nurses regarding personal branding; professional networking; entrepreneurship; resume, job search, and interview strategies; emotional and relational intelligence; personal wellness; and the building of a dynamic nursing career. Keith was among the first cohort of nurses to hold the designation of Board Certified Nurse Coach.

Keith is the host of The Nurse Keith Show, his podcast focused on career advice, fascinating interviews, and personal and professional inspiration for nurses. From 2012 until its sunset in 2017, Keith co-hosted RNFMRadio, a groundbreaking nursing podcast. In 2005, Keith launched Digital Doorway, one of the very first nursing blogs on the internet.

A widely published nurse writer, Keith is the author of Savvy Networking For Nurses: Getting Connected and Staying Connected in the 21st Century and Aspire to be Inspired: Creating a Nursing Career That Matters, and has contributed chapters to a number of books related to the nursing profession.
