About Melissa:
Melissa has been a nurse for over 20 years. She enjoys listening to patients, families, and caregivers along with collaborating with other healthcare professionals. In October of 2015, after more than 15 years at the bedside Melissa took this passion and the ideas she developed in her master’s program and founded The Bridge RN Patient Advocates. She has found tremendous success as a private patient advocate and helped numerous clients have a better experience along their healthcare journey. In 2019 Melissa co-founded The Bridge Health Advocates. The Bridge Health Advocates provides health advocacy and business training for those interested in learning more about professional advocacy work. Melissa is the President of the Patient Advocate Certification Board (PACB). The PACB created and administers the certification exam to become a Board Certified Patient Advocate. Her passion for advocacy is evident in her daily interactions with all those she meets.
About Jennifer:
Jennifer has been working in healthcare most of her life and has a passion for providing outstanding patient care. She began her career in healthcare as a CNA in nursing homes and as a medical assistant in primary care before attending the physician assistant program at Duke University. She worked for 10 years as a PA in urgent care, family practice and hospital medicine. Jennifer was introduced to the patient advocacy profession when she met Melissa Cardine in 2018 and began working as a patient advocate for Melissa and her business, The Bridge RN Patient Advocates. Jennifer quickly became enthralled with the profession and the impact it was having on the lives of their clients and the success Melissa was having with her business. Together, they founded The Bridge Health Advocates where they work to build a dynamic community of professional health advocates through unparalleled advocacy and business training.
