NNBA Pre-Conference 2019 – The Hidden Fortune in Home and Community Based Elder Care

Overview:
This half day workshop covers exciting and eye opening content on; how elder care services are delivered in America today, service gaps that exist and over ten different lucrative elder care and community based businesses that every nurse could start right in his/her own community. Also included in this workshop is a brief summary of the startup cost, licensing requirements, business operating requirements and time commitment for home health care businesses, nonmedical in home care businesses, assisted living facilities, virtual retirement communities, adult group homes, adult day care, care management agencies and transitional care consulting agencies.
During this pre-conference seminar, you will learn:
- Discover the 10 different ways that elder care is delivered in America today
- Identify and learn what is required and how to explore and monetize at least 10 services gaps that exist in today’s home and community based elder care industry
- Leave the workshop with a road map of how to establish and launch at least one business within 30 days following the conference
About Stella:
I am a hands-on nurse entrepreneur and mentor to new and aspiring nurse entrepreneurs. I develop caregiving concepts, and I create soft systems for providing elder care services. I am a health care advice columnist, speaker, a certified Delay The Disease (the #1. Parkinson’s disease exercise program in the country) instructor, a group (live and virtual) learning and seminar facilitator. I speak at the community based level, professional level and corporate level. Every year, for the past fifteen years, I conduct 10-15 one hour seminars for senior centers and Parkinson’s support groups in Ohio. In 2013, I presented a break out session for the ARCH National Respite Network convention in Boston MA. In 2014, I presented 4 breakout sessions at the National Caring For The Caregiver week in Ohio. In 2015, I presented two breakout sessions at the National Child Development Center nationwide celebration in Columbus Ohio. In 2015, I conducted a half day corporate event for Lakeland College (professional Women’s Institute, Kirtland Ohio) titled; How To Find Your Work Life Balance Point. My elder care advice column is featured in nine different newspapers. I have been featured on US News and World report for my contribution to an article about solutions for retirees who run out of money and have to find alternative ways of making a living.
