RN Patient Advocate/University of Arizona College of Nursing Learning Intensive
Independent RN Patient Advocacy is a new and rapidly growing career for qualified, clinical RNs. This is professional nurses’ creative response to the ever worsening medical system. Last report from the Institute of Medicine stated that there are 12 million misdiagnoses annually now. Pair this with health literacy at 12% and up to 440,000 deaths due at least in part to preventable medical errors – and that is just in the hospitalized population. This Learning Intensive is 5 months long online with a residential component of 7 days in Tucson. This begins January 8, 2018 and runs through May 27, 2018.
Passionate about patient centered Patient Advocacy? This might just be the course for you. Our educational arm is partnered with the University of AZ College of Nursing. Two Learning Intensives are given each year.
