NNBA Nurse Entrepreneur News – 02/01/2019
Do you sometimes feel like you have entered a time machine? Two articles this past week made me feel like I was shipped to both ends of the spectrum. The Medscape publishing of the Nurse Career Satisfaction Report for 2018 made me feel like I was shipped to the past. How many studies and surveys do we need to know that nurses are there for the patients, not the politics and administration? Enough already. Then, I was shipped to the future with Becker’s report on Amazon Selling Hospital Rooms. I believe in a day, not far from now, where nursing will be provided independently, more as it was originally. I’m excited about the future of the nursing profession. Nurses will advance to the forefront of the healthcare marketplace by their continued development of services, programs, and products that solve issues for healthcare consumers. For over thirty years the NNBA has been dedicated to nurses starting, growing and managing their own businesses. It’s great seeing the next generation of innovative and influential nurses joining and participating in our growth.

Our first article below conveys this, and so much more in “Guide to Telling Stories that Wins Hearts and Minds.” Well worth reading and re-reading. Social media can be extremely helpful in building your following, and the best methods are in “Best Ways to Increase Social Media Engagement”. Try one or two, and test them for a period of time to see if they are effective for you. Choosing blogs to follow is very personal, especially when it comes to what appeals to us about healthy lifestyle living. “Top 100 Healthy Lifestyle Blogs” of the most popular are here. A bonus for those nurses involved in Health & Wellness is to review the sites as case studies.
